activPilot Comfort PADK is an innovative solution by Winkhaus in the field of window hardware.

A significant feature of this system is the altered sequence for opening and closing tilt-and-turn sashes – closed, tilted, and opened. By turning the handle 90 degrees from the "closed" position, you get the "tilt" of the sash instead of the traditional "open." Upon further turning the sash 180 degrees (completely upward), the sash moves into the "open" position. To close the sash, you need to turn the handle back 180 degrees.

The key advantage of Winkhaus activPilot Comfort PADK hardware is the secure ventilation function achieved by shifting the sash around the entire perimeter of the window frame by 6 millimeters. A window equipped with the PADK system allows for comfortable room ventilation, ensuring a healthy microclimate, energy savings, and protection against rain and noise. Moreover, the sash in the ventilation position maintains high burglary resistance properties according to DIN EN 1627 – 1630, up to the WK2/RC2 burglary resistance class. An additional benefit of activPilot Comfort PADK is the handle position, which doesn't indicate the ventilation mode, thus reducing the likelihood of unwanted visitors.
